Ikaria Hotel - The Heart of Europe
Ikaria Hotel is a wellness hotel inspired by the Greek island Ikaria with the vision to immerse its guests into an authentic stress free environment, where they will be introduced to the island’s culture and social life.
The project comprises of a Hotel Complex, part of the World Island with a total built area of approximately 20,000sqm and 250 rooms. Ikaria Hotel is housed in a five-storey sustainable building and its central principle of design is extracted from Ikaria’s impressive landscape, defined by smooth rock surfaces that undulate with light and shadow. The hotel’s spacious atrium extracts the irregular shape of the island itself and carves a gradually diminishing void from the basement through to the terrace.
