New DOHA Port Access Road
SALFO & Associates is proud to contribute to the prestigious New Hamad Port development , a strategic infrastructure hub located south of Doha. The complex, which serves as a cornerstone of Qatar’s maritime strategy, includes the new commercial port, a major base for the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces, and the Qatar Economic Zone 3.
SALFO is providing specialized Landscape Design services for the Port’s Central Access Road, a corridor of approximately 1.5 km. Our design approach is strictly aligned with the Client’s vision of creating a landmark entrance that balances aesthetic excellence with functionality, sustainability, and long-term durability.
The scope of our landscape intervention includes:
- Softscape & Hardscape Design: Integrating resilient greenery with high-quality architectural surfaces.
- Landscape Lighting: Creating a distinct visual identity for the corridor during night hours.
- Water Features: Design of a large-scale water feature that serves as a focal point of the arrival experience.
- Entrance Architecture: Detailed design of the decorative Main Entrance Gate, serving as a monumental gateway to the Port.
The project is being executed on a Design & Build basis, with SALFO overseeing the entire design progression from the initial Concept Phase through to the delivery of As-Built Drawings. This appointment further reinforces SALFO’s expertise in delivering high-end urban design and infrastructure solutions in the Middle East, contributing to the development of world-class gateways that reflect the region’s growth and ambition.
